4th EPTA INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION “Svetislav Stančić” Zagreb, 7 – 13 February 2011

  • 4h EPTA International Piano Competition “Svetislav Stančić” will be held in Zagreb from 7th – 13th February 2011.
  • All pianists born between the 1st January 1976 and 1st January1993 may apply.The performance sequence will be drawn publicly. The competition falls into three rounds:

    -  1st stage: Recital (30 minutes)

    -  2nd stage: Recital (60 minuts)
    -  Final stage: Piano Concerto (accompanied by a symphony orchestra).
  • The Competiton will be open to the public.
  • Deadline for submitting applications is the 5th December 2010. (post seal will be valid) and they must contain the following:
    a) neatly completed Application form
    b) 2 recent photos
    c) two letters of recommendation by teachers
    d) proof of the payment of 100 € paid to the bank account of Zagreb Conert ManagementIn case of withdrawal, subscription money will not be reimbursed.
    e) copy of the passport for foreign competitors / certificate of citizenship for competitors from Croatia 
  • Any incorrect information in the application will result in disqualification of a competitor.
  • Changes regarding the programme stated in the application will not be permitted.9 All the pieces have to be performed by heart.
  • Daily practice, as well as piano rehearsal at the Competition hall, will be provided for all the participants.
  • The participants will have one rehearsal with the symphony orchestra.
  • The Jury reserves the right not to award all prizes (including first prize), or to award an ex aequo prize (except for the first prize), according to circumstances.
  • Possible complaints against Jury decisions will not be taken into consideration.
  • Croatian EPTA reserves all rights for radio and TV broadcasts during all the stages of the competition without compensation to the competitors.
  • By submitting the application, competitors indicate that they accept all conditions and decisions of the Competition.
  • The Jury reserves the right to interrupt any competitor whose programme exceeds the agreed duration, and also to choose the pieces to be performed in the first round.
  • The compulsory piece by the Croatian composer will be sent to the competitor on receipt of an application.
  • Competitors have to contact the Competition office on the 6th February 2010, submitting valid documentation, including passports.
  • The Jury will chose 12 competitors to reach the Second stage and 6 competitors to reach the Final stage.
  • All participants will be presented with Participation Certificates.
